one of my coworkers made me a bunch of cookies. they are shortbread cookies in the shape of airplanes and topped with this incredible jam she made from raspberry preserves, lychee fruit and some liquor. HEAVEN.
my first attempt at tilt-shift manipulation. i recently discovered it and was immediately interested. i love how the process fools the eye into seeing "miniature." this is part of the U-district near UW.
one of my friends/coworkers absolutely hates the words "moist" and "slick." so at the end of my shift tonight i made two collages, one for each of the computer monitors on her desk. somehow, i dont think she will appreciate the time and effort i put into them! ;)
cropped shot of the hatchback of a white("ish") minivan in my office parking lot. the fingerprints obviously left by hands closing the door. i thought the crop made it look like a modern painting.
super macro shot of two medallions ive worn every day for over 5 years. st. raphael - the patron saint of lovers st. christopher - the patron saint of travelers im not catholic....i just like them and they mean something special to me.
had to go downtown this morning. so i decided to go via the light-rail instead of driving. this is pioneer square station almost completely empty in early afternoon on my way home.
went out for a drive today and came across this little town called index. its about and hour or so northwest of seattle on the way to stevens pass in the northern cascades.
the kent valley was under a thick blanket but had a clear view of mt. ranier. the approaching fog in the pic overtook my location shortly after i shot this.
i cant claim ownership of this idea, but i liked it when i saw it. so i wanted to remake it with a ring that is very special to me - it was a gift from a true love. the hebrew, loosely translated, means "wherever you go, i will follow."
One of the two indicator lights on my desk at work. this one shows that im busy on the phone or on the radio with an aircraft. taken super close without use of macro to intentionally blur it.
my dad made this in 1977 when my parents and brother lived in guam. its older than i am. its one of my favorite things that i remember from my childhood. it was always hanging in our house. i finally have enough wall space in my place to have it hung.
