caught a movie with two coworkers after work today. we went to see "she's out of my league." this is the sign for the theater we went to in southcenter.
weve had some really odd storms the past few days. took an exit off the freeway and parked to get this shot of another front moving in with a break in the rain.

headed back to seattle today. i couldnt believe how dark the top of the sky was....it looked like you could touch outer space. you can barely make out a half-moon above the horizon and to the right.
had to take a last-minute trip to TX today. the flight was full but, luckily, im able to ride in the flight deck with the pilots. got this great view of mt. ranier as we headed south after lift off.
went to a local mexican place today with a bunch of coworkers for a birthday celebration. good company, good drinks, good food. cant beat it. this is the napkin that came under my gi-normous margarita on the rocks. yum!

everyday i drive by this place on interstate 405 that sells nothing but cement bird baths, lawn ornaments and gigantic planters. i always find myself thinking, "i cant remember the last time i saw a house that had any of these things.....how do they stay in business???"
yesterday's creepy baby packaging didnt deter me from eating my favorite chinese food today.
i saw this stock box on a top shelf in an asian market today. im not sure how i feel about eating a product that comes from a box that has a creepy baby on the outside, next to a language i cant read.

today was the first day of a new shift at work. its upsetting to hear your alarm clock going off at 0330am.
went to see "shutter island" tonight to see if it lived up to all the hype. i figured it out about 30min into the movie, so it was about 1hr and 45min too long. the "twist" was painfully obvious. sigh.
at the market today i caught this red cabbage out of the corner of my eye. i thought the deep color made the water drops look extra interesting.
got the first season of "gLee" on DVD today as a belated birthday gift.
unexpectedly, our first snow of the year happened today....in march. thankfully, none of it stuck.
found a tree today that had a couple different types of moss on it. thought it was an interesting combination.
as a result of our unusually mild winter, spring is hitting extra early for seattle this year.
on our approach into SEA we flew just to the north of Mt. Ranier. it looked like you could reach out and touch it. no matter how many times i see it, its beautiful every time.
according to the pilot we were somewhere over idaho when i caught this sunset out of my window. looks kind of like a modern painting to me.
about 15min south of the AUS airport is a little town called Kyle, TX. i couldnt resist stopping to take a pic of the town's centerpiece. its not everyday that you see your name on a watertower!
TX has some of the biggest, most gorgeous skies ive ever seen. snagged this one while sitting in some traffic late today on my way back from having some authentic BBQ.
arrived in AUS, TX today. finally back in the part of the country where waitstaff doesnt look at you like you have three heads when you order sweet tea! i found this great, bottled sweet tea in the AUS airport after i landed....made in AUS. yum!
